Following the Australian Government's recent decision regarding BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning), we are updating our enrolment arrangements for this course in accordance with the new regulatory requirements.

Effective immediately, we will no longer issue new offers for BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning).

Students who are able to commence the course before 5 October 2026 may continue with their enrolment and undertake the course as scheduled. Students who have commenced the course before this date will be permitted to continue their studies and complete the qualification.

For students whose scheduled commencement date is 5 October 2026 or later, you will not be able to commence BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) as originally planned due to the new regulatory requirements.

Individuals in these roles generate and evaluate complex ideas. They also initiate, design and execute major learning and development functions within an organisation. Pathways from the qualification

After Completing BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning),students may articulate into further study of master degree offered by any Australian RTO.

Modes of Training and Assessment

This qualification is delivered in an institution-based environment with face-to-face delivery (20 hours per week). The mode of training is highly practical with a combination of in class learning activity, class demonstration, class tutorials/workshop and self-paced/individual learning activities. In addition to your face to face hours, you will be required to allocate 3 to 5 hours per week (depending if you are domestic or international students) for structured self-paced activities in your own time.

UCA draws on a range of assessment methods such as oral/written questions, case study, research, report, observation/practical skills, third party reports, workplace journal, and portfolio of evidence. Depending on the unit requirements, a combination of methods is used to ensure collection of sufficient and valid evidence.

You will be required to complete some assessment tasks both during face to face and during work placement. As part of assessment preparation, you need to allocate approximately 5 to 7 hours per week in your own time for reading, research and other activities required.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Be 18 years old or over
    • *If you are under 18 and wish to apply for this course, you must have at least one parent who is your legal guardian and is currently residing with you in Australia. You and your legal guardian will need to submit an application for special consideration to request a waiver of the age requirement. The College Administration Team will assess such applications on a case-by-case basis.
  • Must meet one of the following:
    • Successful completion of BSB61015 - Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management OR
    • Its successor - BSB60420 - Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management OR
    • Successful completion of any Bachelor degrees (AQF 7 or above) courses in Business or in relevant field OR
    • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in business or management role.
  • IELTS overall 6.0 or its equivalent (TOEFL/PTE/Cambridge English are acceptable) OR complete Australian ELICOS course at upper intermediate level OR complete any AQF certificate IV course (or above) taught in English, OR pass the UCA English placement test at upper intermediate level (at least 60 points out of 100) unless your nationality is the US, UK, New Zealand, Canada or Ireland.

Additional requirement for Student visa applicants

If you intend to use a CoE issued by the College as your principal course for a Subclass 500 Student visa application, you will need to provide some additional documents before we issue your CoE.

You will be required to provide:

  • evidence of financial capacity that meets at least the minimum financial requirements published by the Australian Department of Home Affairs; and
  • a written Genuine Student (GS) statement explaining your study intentions and future study or career plans.

These requirements are in addition to our normal entry requirements.

The College will review the documents before making a final decision on your enrolment and CoE. If we are not satisfied with the information provided, we may decide not to proceed with your application, not to issue an unconditional offer, or not to issue a CoE.

We take your privacy seriously. Your financial documents and GS statement will only be used to assess your study intentions and your apparent capacity to meet the costs of studying and living in Australia.

The information will not be used for unrelated purposes and will not be disclosed to third parties unless required or permitted by law.

Facility check will be undertaken to ensure the host organisation is appropriate for you prior to signing a work placement agreement. If you are unable to source one, please contact UCA team to assist you with sourcing the appropriate work placement.

FEE STRUCTURE

All your fees and payment schedule are listed on your Letter of Offer and Written Agreement. Course fees include enrolment fee, material fee, and other fees associated with the course. Fees are payable by cheque, money order, cash, internet or bank deposit. Other arrangements for payment could be organised based on individual needs.
