CHC33015 - Certificate III in Individual Support

Course Duration 52 Weeks (12 Weeks Break Inclusive)

This qualification reflects the role of workers in the community and/or residential setting who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason.
Work involves using discretion and judgement in relation to individual support as well as taking responsibility for own outputs. Workers have a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centred support.
This course includes a work placement of 120 hours to be completed within the course duration.

Pathways from the qualification

After Completing CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support,students may articulate into further study of the Certificate IV in Ageing Support or other Certificate IV level qualifications offered by any Australian RTO.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

For international students, IELTS overall 5.5 or equivalent.
All students must be over 18 years of age.
Students who intend to enrol in this course must prove their successful completion of Australian Year 11 or international equivalent.
Have a level of maturity and cultural sensitivity as they will be working with people from avariety of cultures and in a range of settings.
All students need a reasonable level of physical fitness as the role involves direct personal care that involves physically assisting clients which involves bending and manual handling tasks.

COURSE STRUCTURE

Duration: 40 tuition weeks. (52 Weeks include break) The course consists of 13 units and is clustered into 4 groups in order to be delivered within 4 terms of full-time study load. The term duration is 10 weeks.

FEE STRUCTURE

United Colleges offers its students a flexible fee payment structure, dependent on the course. The CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support requires a $600 deposit, and subsequent termly payments once enrolled. Please view fee structure for more information. Course fees include the enrolment fee, materials and access to equipment. Student must supply their own clothes and transport. Textbooks and replacement materials are extra. Fees are payable by Cheque, Money Order, Cash, Internet or Bank Deposit. Other arrangements for payment may be organised based on individual needs.
